Alabama is the second Arizona: how camera-driven weigh stations turned I-20 and I-65 into an ELD tampering minefield
In April, Alabama wrote 4 ELD tampering inspections. In July, 183 — second only to Arizona nationwide. 99.9% of them ended out-of-service. FMCSA revokes 10 ELDs: what carriers must do before September 8, 2026
On July 9, 2026, FMCSA pulled ten Electronic Logging Devices from the registered list — including brands like Ontime Logs, Porter ELD, TT ELD, 2BRO ELD, and Ev ELD (formerly Evo). Fleets running these devices have 60 days to swap them out before drivers start getting placed out-of-service. Phantom fleets: 2,610 active US carriers running 3× more trucks than they declared
